Although Annie Lennox once said she would never go down the aisle again, they still tied the knot last Saturday. On the banks of the River Thames, the Scottish singer exchanged vows with her third husband, a South African gynecologist and philanthropist Mitch Besser.

Lennox, 57, met Besser in 2009 when she was raising funds for her Mothers2Mothers AIDS charity. True, at that time the doctor was still married to his now ex-wife, Debra.

A spokeswoman for Lennox confirmed the fact of the wedding, adding that the couple got married “in a private ceremony with close friends and family.”

Success came to the singer in the early 90s. Throughout her career, she has been awarded many prizes, including Oscar, Golden Globe, Triple Grammy. In England, she was awarded the title of "The most successful musician in the UK."

Lennox has two adult daughters, Lola and Tali. At the wedding ceremony, they were bridesmaids. Among the guests was also seen actor Colin Firth.

We add that the second ex-husband of the singer was producer Uri Fruhtman. In 2000, after 12 years of marriage, they divorced. And her first marriage with the German Radha Raman lasted only one year - from 1984 to 1985.
