Chefs of the Rostov region are going to break the record for cooking herring under a fur coat, which was set in Kaliningrad in 2010, on October 7. The weight of the culinary delicacy will be 500 kilograms. A huge dish will be prepared on the feast of "The vine, or How the Cossacks met Peter."

The organizers of the original event do not report how many products will be required to create one of the largest salads in the history of the Russian Federation. The record set by the residents of Kaliningrad was recorded in the Russian Book of Records, the weight of a herring under a fur coat was 488 kilograms. It is still unknown whether the organizers of the Ryazan holiday will invite experts to register a new record in Russia, but this option is not excluded.

For several decades, herring under a fur coat was an indispensable dish on the festive tables of Soviet citizens; they did not refuse it even in times of sovereignty. The Russians, like many years ago, are happy to cook their favorite dish using such simple and cheap products as beets, potatoes, onions, mayonnaise, boiled eggs and, of course, herring. Some housewives add sour apples to the dish.

By the way, the largest vegetable salad in the world was prepared in the Romanian capital - the city of Bucharest. To prepare the world's largest vegetable dish, 4 tons of green salad, 4 tons of cucumbers, 2 tons of carrots, 2 tons of bell pepper, 2 tons of onions, 400 kilograms of olives, a huge amount of olive oil and salt for a good dressing were needed.
