Sushi and rolls that have become so popular in our country, as it turns out, are not so much tasty as they are unsafe for health. Scientists warn fans of Japanese cuisine: the constant use of raw fish may well lead to various cardiovascular diseases.

A study of more than a thousand case histories has shown a connection between diet and diseases associated with eating raw fish as sushi. Despite the fact that the mega-3 fatty acids that make up raw fish are good for blood and help lower cholesterol, protecting a person from early atherosclerosis, another component of sushi - methyltrut - is very toxic and can cause damage to the heart and blood vessels. Extreme cases of the disease ended in disability and even death. Uncontrolled eating of sushi led to paralysis and paresis.

Scientists recommend consuming no more than two servings of sushi per week. In addition, doctors caution pregnant women against sushi: raw fish can be a potential source of infection and toxins that adversely affect the fetus and can even cause miscarriage.
