Stuffed cabbage is a gorgeous dish of the simplest products. Traditionally, it is stewed in sauce on the stove, but this is not necessary! Stuffed cabbage in the oven turns out amazingly tasty, besides they do not require a lot of attention.

Stuffed cabbage in the oven - the general principles of cooking

The filling for traditional cabbage rolls is prepared from rice and minced meat, various vegetables, spices, mushrooms, eggs can be added to them. Next, the minced meat is wrapped in steamed cabbage leaves. The process of their preparation is described in detail below. Typically, cabbage rolls are shaped like closed envelopes. If the dish is cooked in a lazy way, then chopped (sometimes scalded) cabbage is simply added to the minced meat.

For baking in the oven, the formed products must be shifted to a high shape. If the sides are low, then when boiling, the liquid may splash out. Stuffed cabbage is usually sour cream, tomato sauce, sometimes they are mixed. Cooking time directly depends on the filling used and size, on average it ranges from 40 minutes to an hour.

Cabbage rolls in the oven (in tomato)

A popular recipe for stuffed cabbage in the oven. The sauce for it is prepared from twisted tomatoes, you can use fresh tomatoes or the same amount of crushed mashed potatoes. If the mass is boiled, then you need to slightly dilute with water.

Ingredients

• head of cabbage;

• 0.5 cups of dry rice;

• 600 g of minced meat;

• onion head, butter and some spices.

For the sauce:

• 500 g of tomatoes;

• 200 ml of water;

• 1 carrot;

• 20 g plums. or grows up. oils;

• 1 onion;

• sugar, salt, pepper.

Cooking

1. We put a saucepan with 700 ml of water on the stove, let it boil, start the washed raw rice, boil for about ten minutes. Pour into a colander, leave to drain water.

2. Take care of cabbage. Remove from the head the top leaves. We take a sharp knife, cut out a stump or just make deep cuts around it. In the first case, cabbage cooks faster.

3. Lower the head of cabbage into the pot with boiling water with the cob down. Water should completely cover. Cook for 5 minutes. Gently turn over, cook another two minutes.

4. Take out the head. Carefully remove the leaves. If suddenly they remained solid inside, do not want to be removed, then you can re-lower the cabbage in boiling water.

5. At the base of each sheet we make incisions, remove the thick core that will interfere with folding.

6. Mix the minced meat with chopped onion and boiled rice, season with spices.

7. Put a tablespoon with a slide of filling on the cabbage leaf, roll the stuffed cabbage with an envelope.

8. Fry onions and carrots in a frying pan, pour grated tomatoes, simmer a couple of mines, throw salt, a teaspoon of sugar, add water, boil for another minute.

9. Put the third part of the sauce on the bottom of the mold.

10. From above we put rolled cabbage rolls, we place a seam down. Pour the remaining sauce. Cover the form with foil.

11. We bake cabbage rolls for 45-50 minutes at 200 degrees. Then we open, if desired, cook another 5-10 minutes, so that the top is slightly fried, the tomato has become darker, brighter.

Stuffed cabbage in the oven in Ukrainian (in sour cream sauce)

A recipe for very tender stuffed cabbage in the oven, for which it is important to use good sour cream.

Ingredients

• 0.7 kg of any stuffing;

• 100 g of dry rice;

• four onion heads;

• 0.4 kg of sour cream;

• head of cabbage;

• glass of water;

• fresh dill, spices, oil (any).

Cooking

1. We will cook cabbage in the microwave. Very convenient and easy way. We also cut around the stump or immediately cut it. We put the bowl for the microwave, cook for 5-7 minutes. You can put it in a package, everything will work out too. We take out, remove the leaves, remove all unnecessary.

2. Cook the rice until soft, drain the water.

3. Two onion heads cut into small cubes, passé a couple of minutes in oil. Combine with rice and minced meat, add salt and pepper, mix the filling.

4. We form cabbage rolls from cabbage leaves.

5. Cut the remaining onion heads. Fry the vegetable in a pan, add sour cream to it, bring to a boil, pour water, season the sauce with spices and chopped dill.

6. Pour the stuffed cabbage laid in a greased form into the prepared sauce.

7. We send the dish to bake in the oven for 60-70 minutes, temperature 180. If desired, you can sprinkle the dish with grated cheese at the end.

Lazy stuffed cabbage in the oven with garlic sauce

The formation of ordinary cabbage rolls is a long, painstaking process, requires certain skills and time. But all this can be simplified if there is a recipe for a fake dish, that is, a lazy one.

Ingredients

• 0.7 kg of minced meat;

• 150 g of boiled rice;

• 1 tbsp. l tomato paste;

• 250 ml sour cream;

• 3-4 cloves of garlic;

• 400 g of cabbage;

• onion;

• a raw egg;

• some oil;

• 1 tsp flour.

Cooking

1. Cabbage needs to be chopped into small strips or cut into small cubes. We throw it in a colander, put it in boiling water for a minute. We take out, let the water drain, let the vegetable cool.

2. Fry the onion head, combine with boiled rice and minced meat, add one fresh egg that will hold the mass together, pepper, throw the chopped clove of garlic and salt. Stir.

3. Heat a little oil, put the chopped garlic, fry until light golden. Pour the flour, quickly stir, spread the sour cream, warm.

4. Tomato bred in a glass of water, add to sour cream. Prepare the sauce before boiling. Remove from heat.

5. From minced meat with cabbage we make balls or oblong cutlets. We shift to a greased, deep form.

6. Pour the sauce, cook the dish for forty minutes in the oven. We set the temperature to about 190 degrees.

Vegetable cabbage rolls in the oven

The recipe for vegetarian cabbage rolls, which are perfect for fasting, diet, fasting day. A sauce based on twisted tomatoes, you can use tomato juice. If you cook vegetables in a non-stick pan, the amount of oil can be reduced.

Ingredients

• 2 carrots;

• 1 head of cabbage;

• 1 pepper;

• 2 onion heads;

• 700 ml of twisted tomatoes;

• 1 tbsp. dry rice;

• 1 eggplant;

• spices, oil.

Cooking

1. We process cabbage, prepare sheets for cabbage rolls, the detailed process is described above.

2. Cut the onion into small cubes, rub the carrots. Put it all in a pan, adding a little oil, fry until the onions are transparent. Divide the mass in half.

3. In one part, add the eggplant, cut into small cubes, continue to fry. This will be the filling. We put in a couple of minutes chopped pepper, 2-3 tablespoons of grated tomatoes, stew for a minute, throw spices, optionally you can add one clove of garlic, it goes well with eggplant.

4. In the second part, pour tomato juice or twisted tomatoes, also slightly salted, boiled.

5. Rice is simply boiled, there will be a lot of it in the filling. Pour water, mix with vegetables.

6. Form cabbage rolls stuffed with vegetables, shift into shape.

7. Pour in tomato sauce. On top we pull a piece of foil, one layer is enough.

8. Bake for 30-35 minutes, serve.

Cabbage rolls in the oven on a vegetable pillow

The advantage of these cabbage rolls is the ease of preparation of the sauce. It does not need to be done separately, the whole dish is stacked in a form, baked in the oven.

Ingredients

• head of cabbage;

• 0.6 kg of any mixed forcemeat;

• 2 tomatoes (large, ripe);

• 3 onion heads;

• 2 peppers;

• 1 large carrot;

• 200 ml of sour cream 20% fat;

• 20 ml of oil;

• 200 g of boiled rice.

Cooking

1. Prepare cabbage in any of the ways.

2. Mix the chopped onion with minced meat, rice, season with spices. Collapse traditional cabbage rolls. You can use frozen semi-finished products of home or industrial production.

3. Chop the carrot into strips, chop the onion, sweet pepper with approximately the same slices, and mash the vegetables with your hands. Cut tomatoes into small cubes. If the skin is embarrassed or it is thick, you can remove it.

4. Pour oil into a mold, distribute, put onion with carrots, then sprinkle with half of the tomatoes.

5. Stuff cabbage rolls on top, between them we distribute the remaining pieces of tomatoes.

6. Pour 150 ml of water into sour cream, put spices. You can also add greens, a clove of garlic, a spoonful of adjika. In general, prepare the sauce to your liking.

7. Water the cabbage rolls with sour cream, cover the mold with a piece of foil, put in the oven for an hour. We serve the dish along with the vegetables that were used for the pillow.

Lazy stuffed cabbage in the oven, baked with mushrooms

Another recipe for lazy, very simple, but tasty cabbage rolls. It is better not to make them too large so that the mushrooms are not "lost" in the total mass.

Ingredients

• 500 grams of minced meat;

• 300 grams of cabbage;

• 0.3 cups of rice;

• onion;

• egg;

• 350 g sour cream;

• 30 ml of soy sauce;

• 3 cloves of garlic.

Cooking

1. Chop the cabbage. Add a little salt to it, chopped onion, mash with your hands.

2. Cook rice, mix with cabbage and minced meat, break one chicken egg with them, season with spices, knead thoroughly.

3. Form small cabbage rolls, fold into shape, but not too tight to each other. There should be room for mushrooms.

4. Put stuffed cabbage for 10 minutes in the oven, temperature 200.

5. Mushrooms cut in quarters or halves, depending on size. Spread in a skillet with well-heated butter, fry over high heat for about five minutes.

6. Mix sour cream and a glass of water, put soy sauce, garlic.

7. We take out cabbage rolls, spread mushrooms between them, pour sour cream.

8. Bake for about half an hour, no need to change the temperature.

Stuffed cabbage in the oven - useful tips and tricks

• Before baking, stuffed cabbage can be rolled in flour and fry in a pan, the dish will turn out tastier.

• If you want to make a thick sauce for cabbage rolls, a passerized flour is added to the tomato or sour cream.

• Do not add a lot of oil to cabbage rolls, especially when using minced meat with lard. The dish will be tasteless, greasy.
