20 reminders to yourself if you are not happy with your life

In most cases, you probably think that at this stage of your life you are not at all where you would like to be. And an understanding of this fact can be discouraging. In addition, you are constantly reminded that others live and do the right thing, of course, except for you.

You feel that you have slowed down in life, you have gone in the wrong direction, you have made mistakes and as a result, everything is wrong and everything is wrong. You encounter resistance and fight against yourself when you do not know what you want to do for your future, and in general, what you should do because of external pressure. Now stop right now and exhale. Here are a few reminders you need to know when you think you are lost in your life's throwings.

  1. People may indicate your failures in the past, but their opinions about you should not affect your present life. You are your own mistress.
  1. If you think that you are not where you want, then you are probably too focused on what you are missing, and you do not fully understand what you already have. Review these points again.
  1. The only thing that will help you move forward is to take the first step in the direction that you have always been afraid to take, most likely due to a feeling of guilt that you do not meet the standards of other people. Think about it one more time!
  1. You are all right if you have not yet achieved something. And be honest with yourself: your "must be" is shaped largely by the influence of society and other people. And this is exactly what holds you back and prevents you from seeing your own untapped potential.
  1. The plans of your past and the plans that others had for you cannot guarantee a concrete result. These were only plans, and nothing more. The fear that you may be experiencing now is mainly due to the discrepancy between what you expected before and what your current reality is.
  1. What is the point of making excuses, why you are not where you were expecting. Focus on what you can do right now and this will help you understand that you still have many goals ahead.
  1. The unexpected is part of life. Everything that hurt you in the past was to teach you that life does not always go according to plan, and that you yourself can cope with difficulties.
  1. Everything is fine with you now, at least in one thing: your life is not an apocalyptic catastrophe, as you imagine it. Your life is just wonderful!
  1. The weaknesses that you still have should not lead you into a dead end. Do not feel guilty for what you, in fact, are not to blame. Allow yourself to come to terms with this and acknowledge that you have the right to make mistakes.
  1. Life is a complicated thing, but this should not stop you from wanting to conquer its peaks.
  1. If society puts pressure on you, then this is a warning sign that you need to ignore external opinion and act in your own way.
  1. Sometimes you can give everything you have and still not get what you want. This does not mean that you are a loser or that you need to throw a white flag. Sometimes you just need to start all over again.
  1. If you are unhappy with how your life has developed, perhaps this is due to the fact that for many years you simply put up with the routine and agreed to less for your own false comfort.
  1. The main reason you didn’t achieve what you want is because you don’t know how to say no. Maybe now you really need to make a specific plan in order to create a full life for yourself and take the very first step today.

 

  1. Learn to look at yourself objectively and know that you are in the process of working with opportunities for improvement. Of course, if you are ready for this!
  1. Perhaps you are wasting your life trying to fix what you think was your biggest flaw, and in these futile efforts you have lost sight of your greatest strengths. Take your current dissatisfaction with life as a sign that you need to switch directions and priorities.
  1. Disappointments and failures are quite natural and predictable. You can hate them or dodge them with all your strength, but you need them to improve yourself.

 

  1. If you're feeling insecure right now, take it as a good sign. You question everything that you have been taught, but you understand that nothing is guaranteed to you. Learn to break any uncertainty.
  1. If you feel overwhelmed by everything that happens, allow yourself to relax and fully enjoy the moment. Engage in honest self-esteem and introspection. Even if you think you don’t deserve it, rethink the situation. How can you fix it and take control?
  1. You are where you are, and that’s normal. Those who are in front or behind you have no meaning, because your life belongs to you, and you can only live your own life, regardless of any standard or anybody’s assessment and approval.
