As a result of the introduction of the new state program, it will be much easier for Russians to receive medical care abroad. True, this applies only to those who are not able to help local doctors.
The list of diseases with which Russians are entitled to apply to foreign clinics includes:
- some congenital malformations,
- genetic diseases
- severe cases of congenital immunodeficiency,
- pediatric transplantation.
The main indication for treating these diseases abroad is the lack of the necessary specialists or technologies in Russia.
According to a model contract introduced by the Ministry of Health and involving screening using technologies and drugs, foreign services can be submitted no later than one month after the conclusion of the contract.
For their part, foreign clinics are obliged to acquaint patients with all the necessary medical documentation and issue a copy of it on hand. Money for the treatment will be transferred to the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. Information about the state of health, diagnosis and cost of treatment are not subject to publicity.
It is possible to terminate the concluded agreement only by the mutual decision of the parties or by the decision of the country where the treatment is provided.
