Autumn is getting closer to us, and with it the rainy season and yellow leaves. Many are saddened by such a speedy farewell to the summer and those joyful moments that it presented. But do not be upset: autumn is also able to bring a lot of positive emotions and unforgettable spectacles. And in support of this, we read how our friends abroad are fighting the dullness of this season.

Fantasy festival in florida

In the US, there is a town called Key West, and every year at the end of October, it turns into the busiest corner of the world. For 10 days, the streets of the city are filled with costumed characters, radiating incredible joy and passion. Here you can see mermaids, robots, space aliens and girls in bikinis. The roots of the festival go back to 1979, when two inventive entrepreneurs, in order to attract tourists, held the first costume parade. The success of the event was overwhelming, and every year it becomes more popular.

Day of the Dead in the city of Oaxaca, Mexico

Celebrate it in early November, paying homage to the dead. In the legends, the goddess Miktlanciuatl, who protects the souls of the buried people, is considered the culprit of this event. For two days you can see caramel skulls and skeletal figures everywhere. They also hold a big carnival, the noise of which fills the city with the atmosphere of incredible celebration and fun.

Devil's Dance in Peru

The very name of this event arouses interest and anticipation of something mystical and unearthly. The best place to enjoy this day in full is considered the city of Puno. This city has absorbed the best historically traditions of the ancestors, and La Diablada (the native name of the holiday) was no exception. When November arrives, dancing demons appear on the streets of the city, performing their mystical dance, and the procession is led by none other than the devil himself. The charm of the costumes and the sounds of the drums make the heart shrink from the influx of feelings: it seems, for a moment more, you will turn into a devil and start dancing.

Fireworks night in england

On the night of November 5, the sky in East Sussex turns into a fiery glow on the number of salutes and fireworks issued. A riot of colors and deafening sounds makes every time you hold your breath, looking up in shock. And the reason for such a grand celebration was treason. Back in 1605, a group of traitors wanted to undermine the house of parliament, thus getting rid of the king. But the plan failed, and so that the memory of the act did not disappear, every year the sky is lit up with the symbol of the unrealizable plan.

Cuckolds Day in Italy

The village of Rocca Canterano became famous throughout the world for its approach to family betrayals. So, in November, on the streets of the village, a lot of horn ornaments appear - symbols of treason. All this is accompanied by humorous scenes and sweepstakes conducted by local actors. During the celebration, ringing laughter floods the whole neighborhood, it is difficult to find at least one sad person.

A week with pirates in the Cayman Islands

Mid-November becomes the busiest for this area. After all, it is then that the district is filled with songs, rum and pirates. The big costume parade covers the whole territory of the Cayman Islands. At sea, the battles of ships are raging, which each year depict new scenarios from the lives of freedom and sea breeze lovers. Once here, you unwittingly lose touch with reality and for a few days you are transported a couple of centuries ago, when the flag of the “jolly Roger” was often visiting these shores.

And this is not all joyful events that brings autumn. If you fail to see with your own eyes a carnival in another country, do not despair. After all, no one forbids to arrange it at home! Or maybe it will become so popular that guests from abroad will fly to you.
