Holidays June 21

International Skateboarding Day

There is such a holiday on the calendar. It all began in 2004 in California, when local skateboarders traveling under prohibition signs were tired of fighting for the right to ride freely on the streets of the city. As you know, skaters defiantly corrected the inscriptions on signs from "No Skateboarding" to "Go Skateboarding" and continued to ride on the boards. Young extreme sportsmen were supported by the International Association of Skate Companies, and filed a petition to the American Congress. The application was granted, skaters got the right to freely roam the streets, and June 21, the day Congress approved its decision, was declared Skateboarding Day. Russian extremals joined the celebration in 2006. Every year more and more people are willing to participate in the festival. They take to the streets, have fun, organize collective skating and demonstrations.

France celebrates Music Day

On the summer solstice, the whole of France is buried in the sounds of music. This day is hard to find a quiet corner. Music pours from everywhere: from the windows of houses, concert halls, vehicle interiors, improvised venues. Street musicians, professional singers perform before the audience, sometimes you can hear real French stars, and for free. The holiday begins in the early morning and continues until dawn, but its peak is in the evening, when the working day ends. On the streets it becomes especially crowded. Everyone who sings at least a little, sings, those who don’t know how to dance or just enjoy the skill of the performers. People’s faces do not leave a smile, and hearts - a joyful and good mood. This beautiful holiday was established in 1982 by the then Minister of Culture, Jacques Langroe, for which the French are still extremely grateful to him to this day.

In order for the land to be fertile and give a rich harvest, it was necessary to fertilize it well. The whole village took part in the dung beetle together, less often the neighbors grouped among themselves. And then, alternately, treated sections of each host. Moreover, the duties were strictly distributed: the "cops" - young guys - digging manure, the "robbers" - young girls - breaking manure, the men loaded it on carts, and the children carried it. On the ground, the women unloaded the manure from the carts and distributed it over the field.
