Today the political situation in Russia is going through hard times. Someone is sure that a political crisis has come about in our country, that Russian society has split up and is living in anticipation of a revolution, someone is convinced that nothing dramatic is happening in the country, and someone has no idea what is happening in the state . One thing is obvious - politics is an integral part of the life of every modern Russian citizen individually and society as a whole. In the context of the foregoing, the information portal "Women's Opinion" found out how Russians today relate to politics: are they indifferent to what is happening or are they actively involved in the life of the country.
As it turned out, 26.4% of the women surveyed show a very great interest in what is happening in the country and are always very interested in politics. These women understand that politics plays an important role in the development of society and that every citizen who respects himself must know the situation in the country. Thus, they seek to participate in power and do not want to stay away from political events.
In the same vein, 19.4% of respondents who were not interested in politics before but who are now vividly interested in it speak out. These survey participants believe that in some aspects of politics, our country succeeded, but somewhere remained at the same level as it was. But they cannot remain indifferent to the situation, especially during this politically difficult period of time for the country. Thus, more than 45% of women show political activity, or at least awareness.
In contrast, 20.1% of Russians were previously interested in the political situation in Russia, but now they are not interested in it. The very word “politics” today causes them not quite pleasant feelings and is associated with intrigues, tricks and frauds. Although some of the women surveyed in this category are interested in politics insofar as, because it undoubtedly affects the economy. And the latter interests them the most.
But 34.1% of women from Russia have never been interested in politics, and are not keen on it to this day. At the same time, these people emphasize that they want Russia to have a European standard of living, but they don’t know how to achieve this and they don’t want to participate in the political life of the country.
In general, we can say that the results of the survey are optimistic, since most Russians are not indifferent to the state in which they live. They love their country as it is, even if it is not going through the best moment and know that no one except us will live our lives for us - no one will be successful, free, lucky and happy for us.
The survey involved 1160 women from 107 cities of Russia aged 20 to 45 years.
